I prefer to scan my photos for fast loading, so they may seem small or grainy on your screen. I use a HP ScanJet 4P with Visioneer PaperPort Deluxe 5.3 software, and scan the photos at roughly 5" x 3", then export them as JPEGs with 50% compression to keep the file size smaller. The JPEG files are then converted to the small thumbnail photos you see below using ThumbNailer 5. The larger JPEG photos will cover about a quarter of a 640 x 480 screen, but will look smaller on a larger resolution screen. John Buffum and Mark Williams were 2nd overall in the Libra Racing Hyundai Elantra. At the time of the Winners' Celebration, it was believed that Lauchlin O'Sullivan and Jon Oxford had finished 3rd overall in an Open class Audi Quattro, so they were included in the champagne shower. It was later determined that a late rally charge by Paul Eklund/John Allen in the Primitive Racing Subaru USX had moved them ahead of the Audi and into 3rd place.
